Bath Room

I don't have any "before" pictures that I could find. But the room was beige upper part of the walls and ceiling, a marbled-looking darker beige on the lower walls, and, of course, that dark Tangerine countertop for the sink!

So, first I decided I couldn't afford to replace the countertop, nor was I any any mood to try to tile the counter top like I did with those awful counters in the kitchen... so the only thing left to do was to try to incorporate that counter top into a workable design/color combo that I could live with.

So, I decided to paint the upper walls with a light colored tangerine and the bottom part with a medium tangerine. Which looked pretty nice actually until you closed the door on that tiny space and were plunged into all that tangerine! LOL

Well, I didn't much like all that tangerine so I decided, since I didn't want to repaint the whole danged room again, that perhaps some white stencils would lighten things up! So, I bought some stencils and put about with that task, which was actually not difficult, just time consuming and a bit tedious.

I wasn't unhappy with the stencils but they didn't stand out or become very noticeable until I got around to painting the ceiling with white paint. Then, I liked them much better. I also painted the inside door in the same white, but I'm going to do a bit more with that later because a totally white door is very boring! LMAO

Here is the final results:

So after I printed out some pictures my friend, Jim, sent me, I got them up on the wall and think they look right nice! Then, added the paperweight I bought yesterday and thought that it looked really nice all together. But I need a couple more pictures to make it look just right!

Originally, the towels in there were brown ones, and since I decided blue was going to be my accent color, I took out my blue dolphin towels and hung those up. Now, I like the blue, but think I prefer the brown... so maybe I'm going to go with a brown and blue or blue and brown shower curtain. Decisions Decisions

And, of course, here's the boys:
