My cousin Karen came across an "autograph" book and "Poetry" book that belonged to our Great Grandma, Ida (Deming) Boles. The books are in pretty good condition and there are poems and other writings from friends and family members. All the entries are from 1897 - 1903 (and two from 1965).

Cornelius Boles Dies Suddenly
Succumbs to Attack of Heart Failure, Falls to Floor While Standing Near Stove at His Home.
While standing before a stove at his home on Park avenue, warming himself,
Cornelius Boles, father of George M. Boles of this city, suddenly fell to
the floor as the result of an attack of heart failure and passed away almost
instantly. His death occurred about 10 o'clock. Dr. Bert Lamkin happened to
be passing the house at the time and he was hurriedly called in, but upon his
arrival life was extinct. He immediately pronounced the cause heart failure.
Early last evening, Mr. Boles complained a little of his heart, but no one
dreamed that there was anything serious. He was about the house all day, in
seemingly excellent health, and ate a very hearty supper. The deceased
attended the services at the First christian church, going and coming on the
car. Upon his return he conversed with his wife for about half an hour
before his death.
He was standing warming himself before a stove when she left the room for a
few moments. Hearing a noise as of something falling, she rushed back and
there confronting her was the body of her husband on the floor. His head was
leaning against a table and his legs were in a cramped position. He never
regained consciousness and within a few minutes was beyond all help.
Cornelius Boles was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, on January 3,
1837.
He moved to town in 1867 and engaged in farming, later running a furniture
store. He and his family came to this city in 1889, first settling in
Washington Colony. He was and had been a member of the Christian Church for
over thirty years.
Besides his widow, five children, twenty grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren survive him. The children are Mrs. R. Rollins and Mrs.
C. M. Moss of Fowler, J. W. Boles of Selma and Mrs. T. M. Tobin and George M.
Boles of this city.
