The story of his life reminds one of the records of the Patriarchs and those who knew him saw resemblance to them in character. He had been trained in the manner of the faithful Scotch Presbyterians in which faith he walked through life. As long as he was able he was a regular attendant at the church in Wheatland. His wife and one child having passed on before him he leaves a family of seven children all grown, four of whom live in this state, one in Winona, Minn., and two in the west. lay odds that she is John and Murdo's sister!
